ASKLEP and XClinical GmbH (Germany) jointly exhibit and participate in the 11th Annual Japan DIA Workshop for Clinical Data Management
ASKLEP Co., Ltd. (head office: 3, Kanda-Neribeicho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director and President: Takenori Ogawa) announced today that working with XClinical GmbH (head office: Munich, Germany) it will jointly participate in the 11th Annual Conference for Clinical Data Management (Jan. 31 to Feb. 1, 2008, Tokyo).
An innovative electronic clinical testing software development company based in Europe, XClinical GmbH developed the MARVIN EDC system. ASKLEP is jointly engaged with XClinical GmbH in the marketing of MARVIN in Japan and concluded a strategic licensing and development agreement this month.
A robust Web-based EDC system, MARVIN has been used extensively in many countries, including in the EU. Due to ease of use with double data input function equipment, ASKLEP believes that MARVIN meets the needs of users who engage in clinical testing, including pharmaceutical companies, medical doctors, and researchers.
Quality management during clinical tests is an important issue in the industry and has been selected as the main agenda topic at this year's conference. Under current conditions, the importance of tools that enable the preparation of high-quality data throughout the clinical testing process is steadily increasing with respect to acquiring approval to sell medicines.
