Cap Tool A-sol Features and Functionality

1. Easy navigation of data input screens for investigators

This is one of the key features of CapTool A-sol. Over 30,000 investigators have used our CapTool system and investigators remarked they like the features of this system from easing viewing to ease-of-use. Over the years, investigators have provided key feedback which we have incorporated into CapTool.

2. Consolidated database management

CapTool A-sol. provides consolidated database management functionality. With other EDC systems, coding, secondary logical checks, etc. are often implemented by moving those functions to other databases. CapTool A-sol. however, implements them through collective database management, so there is no need to check consistency with other databases.

3. Data management function

CapTool A-sol. includes the following data management functions to manage large volumes of data for PMS studies:
(1) Coding functions (disease name, medicine name, MedDRA)
(2) Logical check functions (secondary logical)
(3) Request for query preparation functions (draft dictionary files)
(4) Task management for data management operation (work progress management functions)
(5) Batch management (functions to manage processing units that are necessary for processing large amounts of data)
(6) Study progress checking functions (progress management table)

4. Audit Trail management function

CapTool A-sol. manages the entire audit trail, ranging from initial transmission of data by investigators to the final fixing of the data. The audit trail can be retrieved and confirmed on screen or in print.

5. Adaptability to changes in specifications for studies and version upgrades

In PMS, amendments in study items, specifications for logical check, and so on may occur during the study period.
Because consolidated database management and audit trails are actualized in CapTool A-sol., specifications changes and the contents of such amendments can be reflected throughout a study without interrupting the process.
